The Final Post

Hi bloggers! 

How are you? I am a little stressful because its end of this semester, and if I could rank this one, I think it would be one of my least favorite, but I think English IV has been a breather this semester, especially because of the Thursday blog writing.

My favorite thing to write was the “2 photos” blog because in that blog I realized that I have 2 photos very similar in different stages of my life, I enjoyed write that blog so much!

The blog I least enjoyed writing was “Interesting things to do when I or You will visit New York” because in a way we had to do it and to be honest the search made me lazy haha.

The blog I enjoyed reading the most is the one of my friend Andres, my best friend in this experience called university, I enjoyed it because I think we are both very similar, maybe because we are both Aquarius and we are only one day apart??? haha, anyways his blog was very interesting.

I think that blog writing was fundamental to my development in the subject because I was able to relate English to everyday things and things that I like.

I don't know if I would blog in the future because this was my first time experiencing this, but I think it was fun, we'll see what fate has in store for me with blog writing!

My digital camera

My digital camera is a 2009 Kodak EasyShare M340, and is an item that had been in my house since about 2010. I like to use it when I go out for a walk, on a field trip or just when I get together with my friends to have a good time.

As I said before, this camera was in my house because it belonged to my parents but due to the advance of technology this type of objects were displaced by the fastest and most efficient, such as cell phone cameras.

I've been using it for about a year now and I really enjoy using it, since some time ago I became the “friend with a camera” because all my friends like the way the pictures look, even more when I edit them and put some filters on them.  

This time using it I have learned to value photography a lot more, because I have realized that I like taking pictures in another object than my cell phone, I think that the camera is really AN EXPERIENCE and I recommend it a lot.

I really consider that using a digital camera is an experience that I recommend if you have one in your house that is in disuse because buying new or used ones is very expensive hahaha. 

Well and to finish, I leave you some pictures that I have taken with my digital camera.

Hello cyber friends! Today I wanted to show and talk about two photos that I found in my gallery and I find them interesting. 

The first photo is from when I was 4 years old, and it was taken at my paternal grandparents' house in the south with a digital camera of that time (which are very trendy again). This photo makes me nostalgic because I love going to my grandparents' house as much now as I used to, especially the countryside because back then I enjoyed even more being able to feel the earth, getting dirty and playing. In this photo we were just arriving at the house in the village and even though I don't remember much, I like to see it and remember what the countryside has always been for me.

The second photo coincidentally is VERY similar to the first one (unintentionally hahaha), and that's why I chose it. This photo is from a few weeks ago at a family BBQ with my boyfriend's family at a park. The picture was taken by my boyfriend when we arrived at the park, also with an old digital camera that was at his house, we both really enjoy taking pictures with cameras like this so we have a lot of pictures of each other. 

Looking at the photo I realize that it has many similarities with the one from 16 years ago, I find it curious and funny to have achieved such a similar photo without realizing it just until the moment I am writing this.

Japanese Denim

Right now I'm listening to Japanese Denim by Daniel Caesar. It's an R&B/Soul song from 2016 that makes a metaphor with lasting love just like jeans, I really like it because it makes me remember my favorite person, because I heard it for the first time when we were just starting to date in 2019 and to this day our love is like “Japanese Denim”. I also like it because in general R&B is a genre that I enjoy a lot and I could say it's one of the types of music I listen to the most, because it has great exponents like Daniel Caesar, Kali uchis, Tyler the creator, Frank Ocean, etc.

A School Teacher

Teacher Carlos

I remembered with appreciation to Teacher Carlos. He taught (and still does) History, one of my favourite subjects in life. I have always loved history, since I was a kid because my teachers were always good and got me interested, but teacher Carlos was very good at his job, he really loves what he does, so he passed on his knowledge to us with great enthusiasm. I remembered his classes and I appreciate him because he was quite interactive with us, always encouraged us to think critically and always respected our opinions. I learned a lot from this teacher, but the most important thing I learned was my critical thinking, which always encouraged me to question the things that were happening in the world. I think, thanks to him, I studied Geography today.

I saw teacher Carlos like one month ago, because my brother goes to the same school as me, and I went to see him dance for the “Fiestas Patrias”, there I saw Carlos and talked to him to find out how he was doing.

I’m so grateful to him for making history better than it already was for me.

My friend of High School, Arianna.

 In High School, I made a lot of friends, incluiding my best friend at that time, Arianna. 

Arianna  was a Venezuelan inmigrant who arrived in Chile in 2017. That year, we met, but we´ve been friends since 2018. We met at school because we were classmates, and we formed a beautifcul friendship because she was very funny. Arianna was the type of person who brightened up every room she walked into. We enjoyed spending time togheter, like hanging out, having sleepovers, and eating a lot of sushi. In 2021, Arianna left Chile with her family, and now she is in the USA, living in Miami. She is very happy there, and Iam happy for her. I haven´t seen her in persona since September 2012, but sometimes we talk on WhatsApp, Instagram, Tiktok, or we call each other on FaceTime. I love and miss her so much.
